How To Have A Happy Thanksgiving

happy thanksgivingIn my last blog I talked about how to plan, prepare and deal with holiday stress. That’s definitely a good piece of information to revisit: How to Deal with Holiday Stress. Some of what I talked about in this blog last week was being present. See if you can really be present this Thanksgiving. When you mind starts to stray off to should have, could have, negativity and doubt gently guide it back to what you are doing. Try to ‘be’ in the moments of the day. Enjoy them, whether it’s eating turkey (which most of us only get to do once a year), having conversations with family members or friends (some who you probably don’t see often) or playing those board or card games (even if you don’t like them). Regardless of what you are doing tomorrow allow it to be what it is. Try to see the good, the positive in it.

Thank you for supporting my work. I appreciate that you’ve given me the opportunity to show up in your inbox and social media once a week. I hope my words are helpful.

Cheers to a Happy Thanksgiving and good mental health!

Dr. Michelle
