Inspiration

Jennica Now that the holiday celebrations are over and the time to invent a new year’s resolution has passed, it’s time to find your new inspiration. Often times after the holidays we go through this sort of lull. After the festivities instead of feeling rejuvenated and remembering all the great times we had with our friends and family, it is likely that we feel tired and disappointed that we are going back to our normal routine. A regular schedule and normal activities do not have to have a negative effect on our lives. Regaining a sense of normalcy in life can actually allow us to find room to enjoy the blessings that we will have in the new year. So instead of being disappointed that you have to go back to work, think about the new opportunities that lie ahead of you. Try and set achievable short-term goals that allow you to accomplish what you would like to complete throughout the year. These goals could be about getting a regular workout in, getting a promotion at work, spending more time with your family, or finding more time for yourself. The possibilities are really endless. However, it is one thing to set a goal and a whole other thing to be motivated to accomplish your goal. Search for your inspiration. Something that you know will work to help you be at the top of your game every day. Whatever will help you wake up in the morning and be ready to tackle your day. Maybe you are one of those people who likes reading inspirational quotes. Or maybe you have a personal mantra. Having trouble stirring up ideas? Here are a few to start you off: 1. Name 2 things you are thankful for before you get out of bed in the morning 2. Plan one activity each week that you can look forward to. 3. Use that special loved one to hold you accountable and help keep you motivated toward your goal. Happy Thursday!
