Celebrate You and Your Hard Work
Celebrate each day – small and big accomplishments. Be thankful for your ability to do what you do. Not everyone has the ability to be you. Not everyone wants to put in the hard work to get where you are. You may be saying to yourself, yeah sure but I am not as good as I want to be or I am not good enough.
This is a good time to accept that you are exactly where you are, and that in this very moment you aren’t going to be better. You are good enough right now and you have the opportunity to continue to get better. You are in the place you need to be in.
Every little thing
Accept and celebrate you. Think about all the positive things that you’ve done. What small and large things have you accomplished?
What’s up next
Take stock of your year. What changes have occurred? What do you want to work on next? How do you work on it?
Be grateful
Show your appreciation. Who has helped you this year and how? Share this with them and thank them for their role in your growth and success.
Discover opportunity
Reflect on obstacles. What got in your way? What did you do about it? Look for the opportunity in the situation. What do you need to do differently?
Celebrate YOU
Yes this is a good time of the year to be thankful for family and friends AND it’s also a good time of the year to be thankful for you. Recognize and celebrate all of your accomplishments and realize just like everyone else in the world you have a chance to continue to grow and get better. You just have to take that chance and do it.
It’s easy (sometimes) to celebrate the accomplishments of friends and family members. Learn how to celebrate you. It is as important, if not more important as working on all of the other mental and physical aspects of your performance.
